 My name is Lauren Moss, I am a Counselling Psychologist. I have been working with rape victims as a counsellor for many years and although I am always horrified at the world that allows this to happen, I am also amazed at the strength that I see in the survivors I have worked with.  

I am currently completing my doctoral research, which is a study on the lived experience of the psychological impact of rape on the victim. I am needing to find 5 participants to interview. The tricky part is that I am looking for victims who have been raped between 3 and 12 months ago. This means that finding participants through the various crisis centers is difficult as they usually contact these places soon after the rape and most only present for therapy years later. I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to how I can respectfully access this group of people. The research will not focus on the actual event, but rather on the emotions, thoughts and experiences that occurred as a result of the rape. I am planning to conduct an interview of just 1 and 1/2 hours and would be available to provide some free counselling should any issues arise as a result of the interview.

Hi La, dudu here I would love to help you just not sure if you have already finished, I do need counselling on my rape incident which occured last year in March, and am currently looking for a proper rape consellor, as have a psycologist but he does not deal with this kind of thing.  
If you can help me that would be great thank you, Dudu.
